| The Denmark Township Historical Society invites the public to
learn about the history of Afton Alps at a free program Tuesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at the
Denmark Town Hall, 90th and Oakgreen, in south Washington County. Amy Reents, daughter of
founder Paul Augustine, will speak and show photos of the early years. Longtime employee
Glenn Brown will assist her. The public is invited and there is no admission fee. |

Denmark Demons Vintage Base Ball Game |
The Demons will once again take on the Washington County Historical Society's
Vintage Base Ball team, the St. Croix Base Ball Club, in a game played by 1860s rules.
There will be entertainment and refreshments, as last year. More information to come on these topics
Last year, refreshments included beverages, hot dogs, ice cream, peanuts and caramel corn will be sold.
Guests should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. |

DENMARK TEAM TAKES ON
VINTAGE BASE BALL |

The public is invited to an afternoon of vintage base ball, food and
entertainment on Sunday, September 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Denmark Town Hall, 90th and
Oakgreen in Denmark Township, south Washington County. The free event features the newly
organized Denmark Demons, sponsored by the Denmark Township Historical Society, facing
Washington County Historical Society's club, the St. Croix Base Ball Club, in a game
played by 1860s rules.
The game starts at 2 p.m. Pre-game entertainment begins at 1 p.m. with music by Bill Kruschel
of Maplewood and a barbershop quartet, the 8 Foot Fours, organized by Bud Urtel of Woodbury.
Refreshments include beverages, hotdogs, ice cream, peanuts and caramel corn will be sold.
Guests should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. |
