The Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the stories, traditions and historic buildings in the township. Programs are presented every other month. Recent projects include marking and maintaining a pioneer cemetery across from Carpenter Nature Center, hanging historic photos in the Town Hall, and sponsoring an annual vintage base ball game. Members also conduct interviews for oral histories and encourage residents to preserve their own family stories and traditions.
